    Currently Associate Professor at the Dodge College of Film and Media in Chapman University where he is the lead undergrad and grad marketing professor in the Creative Producing Program. He is the author, in conjunction with Katherine MacDonald, of The Marketing Edge for Filmmakers, published late last year and available through the AFM/Focal Press industry series Russell also lecturers at the American Film Institute.

    He is currently Co-Principal at Pandemic Marketing, which provides strategic consulting to the entertainment industry and has overseen the marketing and awards campaigns for a select group of films and independents every year, including the recent politically divisive film Chappaquiddick.

    Prior to that he was President of Worldwide Marketing for Relativity Media and was formerly President of Marketing for New Line Cinema, where he created and managed the marketing campaigns for over 70 movies including The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Wedding Crashers, Elf, Hairspray and The Notebook.
