  • Chris Fetner
    Chris Fetner
    Managing Director, Entertainment Globalization Association

    Chris Fetner spent nearly nine years as the executive leading business and vendor strategy for Netflix’s content localization efforts. In this capacity, he helped launch Netflix’s service in 190 countries and 27 languages. Chris was also the creator and leader of both the Netflix Preferred Vendor and Netflix Post Partner programs. He’s an innovative and creative executive that created and led many of the biggest positive disruptions in content localization.

    Prior to joining Netflix, Chris held leadership roles in BBC Studios, Discovery Channel, PBS and America Online. He holds two advanced degrees from American University and Oxford University as well as having completed coursework at Stanford and The London School of Economics.

    In addition to his duties at EGA, Chris is on several corporate boards, honorary industry boards and volunteers in areas of education. Chris has also served as a military officer and volunteer helicopter pilot for the Red Cross.

    EVP Technical Operations & Delivery, Lionsgate Entertainment

    Mr. Ainsworth leads the technical distribution activities for Lionsgate including delivery & fulfillment, localization, asset management & restoration, mastering, restoration, screening operations and both domestic & international theatrical servicing. Prior to Lionsgate, Mr. Ainsworth held various position with Deluxe Entertainment Services including EVP & GM Digital Media, EVP Corporate Development and Strategy and oversaw Sales and Account Management. He oversaw operations for all media services, television post production overseeing Encore Video. He also oversaw strategy and execution for all corporate development initiatives across the media group worldwide. This includes all acquisitions, partnerships, new products and services as well as involvement in operational activities associated with them.

    Prior to joining Deluxe, Mr. Ainsworth spent 16 years at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios where he was most recently Senior Vice President Technical Services. He was responsible for all worldwide technical distribution in all media. This includes video transfer, foreign language dubbing, film restoration, TV and airline editing, DVD compression & authoring, theatrical distribution, airline delivery, satellite delivery, audio, foreign theatrical distribution and advertising/publicity stills archiving & distribution as well as other traditional methods.

    Mr. Ainsworth, a graduate of The University of California at Los Angeles, has testified before the Library of Congress in hearings on film preservation. He is a past board member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and a regular guest lecturer for UCLA Extension’s class on post production and distribution. He has been a speaker and panelist at numerous conferences.

    President, Iyuno-SDI Group

    Mark stepped into the position as President of Iyuno-SDI Group following Iyuno’s acquisition of SDI Media.

    Mark Howorth is the President of Iyuno-SDI Group, responsible for overseeing customer-facing activities including global revenue, sales, marketing and communications. Prior to the recent acquisition of SDI Media by Iyuno, Howorth was the CEO of SDI Media. He led the global provider of localization services from 2016 through a period of growth, overseeing its operations across 24 countries, including the opening of the Tokyo office, expansion of the European operation, and negotiating the acquisition by Iyuno Media Group.

    Howorth joined SDI Media in 2016, bringing almost three decades of experience to the team. He has held a number of C-level positions in the M&E industry. He was the COO of Panavision, the leading supplier of cameras & lenses for cinema. He was also the CEO of National Mobile Television, a Los Angeles-based provider of television production trucks and OB vans. He was also a Partner with management consulting firm Bain & Company in the Media/Technology practice.

    Currently based out of Los Angeles, Mark has a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

    Founder and CEO, Blu Digital Group

    Paulette Pantoja is Founder and CEO of Blu Digital Group, which provides innovative digital supply chain software and services to the media and entertainment industry. Since founding the company in 2007, Paulette has helped Blu Digital Group play an increasingly influential role within the industry by focusing on post-production workflow optimization and distribution of film and television content. Paulette holds a patent in an online quality assurance and project management system. She earned a BA in Film and Television from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine University’s President and Key Executive program. Paulette also graduated from the Executive Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management and the Goldman Sachs 10ksb program.

  • Teresa Phillips
    Teresa Phillips
    CEO & Co-Founder, Spherex

    As co-founder and CEO of global data and technology company Spherex, Teresa
    Phillips is pioneering technology that is changing the future of entertainment.

    Leading a talented team of data scientists, engineers and content analysts, Phillips and
    her team are making sense of the crowded content landscape worldwide so media and
    entertainment companies don’t get lost in translation. Collaborating with major studios,
    networks, streamers and content creators, they are transforming how media and
    entertainment enterprises create, adapt, and deliver film and television to audiences
    worldwide through artificial intelligence and human-centered machine learning.

    Prior to establishing Spherex, Phillips was the founder and CEO of venture-backed
    startup Graspr, a video-based marketplace for experiential knowledge. Phillips held
    executive roles at both Yahoo! and Time Warner. She was recruited to build an
    operational infrastructure to support Yahoo!’s emerging broadband business and helped
    craft the company’s successful partnerships with SBC (now AT&T), British Telecom and
    Rogers Communications and went on to lead Yahoo’s business intelligence division. At
    Time Warner, Phillips directed the cross-company effort to migrate systems, products,
    and operations in support of Time Warner/Media One’s joint venture – Road Runner.
    She led Affiliate Product Management to deploy Road Runner’s broadband service in
    50+ markets within a 24-month period.

    Phillips’ career began in the military as an executive assistant to four-star generals and
    diplomats, including two tours at the Pentagon and at NATO. The five years she spent
    supporting the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe at the end of the Cold War was
    particularly pivotal in shaping Phillips’ global mindset, leadership style and career.

    From a large family in rural Kansas, Phillips grew up on a farm where she learned the
    value of hard work and importance of community, shaping her core values of integrity,
    authenticity and service.

    A graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Phillips
    enjoys traveling, camping and playing basketball with her two teenage sons. She is
    based in Silicon Valley where Spherex is headquartered and serves on the Board of
    Advisors for the Entertainment Globalization Association, is a member of the OTT.X
    Leadership Committee, on the DEG Canon Club Advisory Board, and was named one
    of Variety’s 2021 Innovators to Watch and one of Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Top
    Women of Influence.
